May 2011 - slow tunes before the break
In May we remembered our beginners session plan, and stuck to familiar tunes for the first half. From our tunebook: Winster Gallop, Rakes of Mallow, Jamie Allen, Salmon Tails, Donkey Riding, Curly Headed Ploughboy, and Bobby Shaftoe. Then we played The Keel Row, Kafoozalum, The Railway, Speed The Plough, and Soldiers Joy. Then Winster Gallop and Rakes of Mallow again for some late comers. Followed by Salmon Tails, Bear Dance, Rochdale Coconut Dance and the Tip Top Polka. Just at the end of the first half we played an actual new tune: Portsmouth.
