W:This is the first verse of a well-known Scandinavian drinking
W:song/drinking game. The idea is that you sing one verse, then drain
W:a small glass of some very strong liquor, sing the next verse,
W:drain another glass and so on. Everything is of course done in a decent
W:and sophisticated way ;-)
W:
W:The verses of the song are:
W: Helan
W: Halvan
W: Tersen
W: Kvarten
W: Kvinten
W:The names are the traditional Scandinavian names for the first,
W:second, third and so on drink.
W:This variant of the song cycle is Norwegian, with the verses
W:alternating between Norwegian and Swedish (or at least something
W:resembling Swedish).
W:
W:I suppose there should be a sixth verse too, but I have not managed
W:to find it. Henrik Norbeck did however come up with Septen (the seventh)
W:from a Swedish variant.
